Journey to Recovery: Joshua’s Story

May 1st, 2023 will mark 11 years clean for me. On the left, I was completely lost. My life was chaotic, reckless, and unmanageable. I was hurt. I was angry with the world. But most of all, I was angry with myself. I was in and out of jails and hospitals.

I had overdoses and seizures. I had zero gratitude, and I was overwhelmed with self-hatred. Once I got clean and sober, EVERY area of my life improved dramatically. I got my Master's Degree and for the past 8+ years, I have worked in the substance treatment field. I have dedicated my life to helping those in need of treatment and support.

With every ounce of sincerity inside of me, recovery is possible. We do heal. We do get better. We fight for our recoveries every day. If you are struggling, please reach out for help. There are so many of us here to lend a hand. The love in this group moves me every day. Thank you all for this community.
